Monday the boys and I took Sunshine to Williamsburg for FSY. It was held at the College of William and Mary, which was annoying to navigate since the campus had too many one way streets and very little parking. Other than that, it was an uneventful trip there and back.

Tuesday I took the boys to music lessons and River started learning some piano since we have extra time with Sunshine being gone.

I went to karate that evening but my blood pressure and heart issues left me feeling crappy and exhausted. I should have held off a few more days before going back to class.

Wednesday I did some grocery shopping and baked Ocean’s birthday cake, then laid in bed for a few hours since I was wiped out.

Thursday I had my accountability call. I’m feeling a lot better physically, but the heart and blood pressure issues are the limiting factor since they leave me wiped out. The last few days I’ve been itching to get making again, so hopefully I can build up my stamina while my meds settle in. They should be settling within the next few days if the past dosage increases are indicative of what will happen.

Friday I finally finished cutting some leather for my L101 materials. I’d started cutting it a month ago before I got sick and it’s been sitting on my worktable ever since. I also measured and wrote out instructions for some canvas zip bags I want to make for my shop. I didn’t get as far as cutting any canvas, but with the measurements jotted down, I should be able to do it soon.

The boys lost screen privileges for the next two weeks due to persistent problems with obedience. There’s been some detoxing on their parts, but they’re finally spending more time reading and playing outside. With the time I’ve been busy with my business and dealing with my narcolepsy and covid and meds and all that the last 4 or so months, we’ve taken the easy way out and let them have way too much screen time. It kept them out of my hair, but it’s also resulted in more and more behavior issues and less interest in non-screen related activities. it’s a tough issue when I’m not feeling great and/or am super busy.

I skipped karate, but Jeremy took the boys. I’m still feeling too blech- I had to lay down after doing the cutting and measuring.

Saturday Jeremy had to get up super early to leave by 5am to pick up Sunshine from FSY. They were supposed to be picked up between 7 and 7:30am. Way too early in the morning for that.

I only got a couple hours of sleep because I was too worried about missing Jeremy’s 4:00 wake up to go pick up Sunshine (he is not a morning person, so it was guaranteed that he’d wake up, or even hear his alarm). I stayed in bed for awhile, but then had to get up and go pick them up in Richmond because the Camry broke down on the way back. At least they were in a convenient spot for parking- a gravel lot right next to a freeway on ramp. Since it was dead, we had to get it towed to the dealership in town. It’s been showing the same error messages that were showing before we replaced the battery in June, which supposedly fixed the issue. Apparently not. Now we’re waiting to hear the verdict and the damage.

I had planned on doing some decluttering, but even before we got home I had an eyeball migraine that I was trying to head off (from too little sleep), so it wasn’t a productive day.

Sunday we went to church, then I rested in bed while Sunshine finished packing for YW camp. I’m still tired and easily fatigued.

It’s been surprising how much the high blood pressure wipes me out. I’ve never had high blood pressure, so this is new. Do people who have regular high blood pressure (not medically induced) also get wiped out so easily? I need to do some research into it.
