Monday the kids and I had eye appointments. Sunshine and my prescriptions changed slightly, it was recommended that the boys wear blue blocking glasses when they’re using screens. Ocean could also use reading glasses, though he doesn’t need them badly. The eye doc mentioned that needing them could result in him acting up when it comes to reading. He won’t necessarily get the headaches I experienced when I first needed glasses. Things won’t necessarily be blurry either, not that he would be able to explain, anyway (just like Sunshine didn’t know she wasn’t seeing out of both eyes when she was 4 because she was used to it).

This was interesting, as I wouldn’t have expected eye issues to bring on behavior issues, though it makes sense when you think about it. He’s learning to read (though we don’t spend a lot of time on it), so I’m ordering some glasses for him online and we’ll just use them during schoolwork. If he can manage not to beak them, he can use them when on the computer as well, but I may need to hang onto them for now. His impulse control issues might inadvertently result in them not surviving long. Thank goodness for cheaper glasses being available online these days.

Afterwards I caught up on emails, phone calls, etc. I feel like I lose a lot of time to stuff that needs to be done, but isn’t as productive as I’d like when it comes to my business.

Tuesday we had music lessons. We thought Jeremy had an appointment at the VA hospital for a shot in his back, but found out that morning that we were off by a week. This threw off my mental schedule and stride for the rest of the day. I also wasn’t feeling well, so I ended up going to bed after we got back from lessons. Jeremy took the kids to karate while I stayed home. I took a covid test, but it was negative, so I just have some crud I picked up somewhere. Probably from the kids in Primary on Sunday.

Max isn’t super snuggly, though I did manage to get this picture of her snuggling with Jeremy

Wednesday we dropped off the Subaru first thing for some routine maintenance. I still wasn’t feeling well, so we skipped the planned hike with friends and I rescheduled my accountability call. In between picking up and dropping off Jeremy at work as we shuttled back and forth from the dealership I rested in bed.

Thursday I was still a little under the weather, but feeling better overall. We went to karate class since Friday evening had other activities scheduled.

Friday I had my rescheduled accountability call. It rained most of the day, but Sunshine’s stake YCA campout was still held since they had a barn to take refuge in. However, the boys’ ward priesthood commemoration campout was canceled.

Saturday I had a slow start to the day, but I managed to finally finish writing the email I’d been working on all week and get it sent. I need to get more on top of that so I can build my email list.

I heard back from the endocrinologist on the results from the follow-up testing after the 24 hour urine test. Everything looks good. Which is good, but also frustrating, since there’s still no clear answer for my low energy and inability to lose weight. I do feel that my energy levels are a little better lately, which I’m attributing to my narcolepsy meds, so I’ve made an appointment with my sleep doc to see if the energy thing is narcolepsy related. The appointment isn’t for a couple weeks though.
