Monday I took my time getting up. I was tired, but not as exhausted as I thought I’d be, though I did have a headache. I ran a couple errands, then cleared out my email inboxes that I’d been ignoring for the last couple weeks.

I had planned to go for a run, but I was too tired.

We celebrated Sunshine’s birthday, but still needed to go to Scouts. At Scouts we had a troop committee meeting so we could split the troop committee into two- one for each troop. The committee had been shared up till now, but we have some leaders who clash big time. I hadn’t realized there was an issue, but apparently this has been an ongoing issue that isn’t getting resolved. There’s good reasons to stay combined, but I also don’t see a reason not to split- I think it could be effective either way. We’ll have to see how it all settles out.

Sunshine made her cake, but it didn’t have quite enough time to set so it was a little drippy. It tasted good though.

Tuesday we did music lessons online. Ocean slept super late and said he wasn’t feeling well, so we stayed home rather than risk sharing potential germs with our music teacher.

After lunch I dropped my brother off at the airport then took Sunshine and River to the orthodontist. Sunshine gets to have her braces off in a few weeks! This is really good news, since at one point there was the threat of having to leave them on longer and having to pay more as a result (which she would have to pay since it was directly related to not wearing her rubber bands), but despite not wearing the rubber bands as much as she should, her teeth and bite are looking good. Pretty sure that didn’t teach the right lesson, though…

We went to karate class in the evening.

Wednesday I had my accountability call and worked on slowly getting back into the groove of getting things done after two weeks of being gone/traveling/etc.

Thursday I went to the chiropractor then took a nap since I didn’t sleep well Wednesday night, then we all went to the dentist. Thankfully everyone got a clean bill of health this time around.

Friday I dropped the kids off at a friend’s house for a playdate, then did a little work before picking them up again.

We went to karate in the evening and I paid bills later that night.

Saturday we had no where to go, so we had a slow start to the day, which was nice. Jeremy finished the work in the master bath that he started when I was in Cincinnati: replacing some drywall in the shower and installing an electrical box for the light over the mirror, then fixing the drywall, then painting everything.

I did some reorganizing in the basement- shifted the shelf that my leather is on to make room for my sewing machine, organized the bins of stuff, made a pile of things to take to the shipping container, and so on.
